Seasonal Fall Allergies

Suffering from Seasonal AllergiesThe leaves are turning and school is back in session; fall is certainly on its way. Through all of these events, we often overlook the fall allergies that come with the changing of the seasons. Whether you have been experiencing seasonal allergies for the first time or you’ve dealt with them before, the doctors at ENT and Allergy Specialists are here to help.

Ragweed Allergies

One of the major fall allergies is ragweed. Ragweed is responsible for producing pollen in the spring and summer, and thus, the allergen can linger well into the fall months. Additionally, ragweed can travel great distances by wind, so even if it isn’t native to your area, you may still suffer from its effects.

Allergic to Mold

Mold is another significant fall allergy trigger. As temperatures fall and start to become more conducive to mold growth, spores may pop up anywhere; in bathrooms, basements, and even the exterior of your home. It may be a good idea to perform a seasonal mold check to avoid these allergens.

Dust Mites

Dust mites are also known to carry over from the warm summer months. These mites are often responsible for runny noses and sneezing.

Do You Suffer from Seasonal Allergies?

While these allergies are often very common, many also go undiagnosed. If you believe that you may be suffering from seasonal fall allergies, you may want to ask your doctor about performing a skin test. A skin test is the first step towards diagnosing and treating symptoms of any allergy. Why suffer with allergy symptoms? Make an appointment today!
