Thyroid, Parotid and Neck Mass Surgery

You’ve discovered a lump in your neck. What should you do? Although not all lumps are cancerous, you should schedule an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat physician for proper evaluation and diagnosis as soon as possible. A neck mass or lump may indicate a problem with your thyroid, parotid gland, throat, or mouth and require surgery or other treatment.

The highly-skilled physicians and surgeons at ENT and Allergy Specialists have extensive knowledge and surgical abilities, including minimally invasive procedures to treat both benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, parotid (salivary gland), and thyroid.

Specializing in several types of Head and Neck Surgery:

Neck Mass Surgery is most typically performed on the lymph nodes, the thyroid, the parathyroid, and parotid.

Thyroid Surgery or thyroidectomy is typically a minimally invasive operation to remove the entire thyroid, or a portion of it depending on your diagnosis.

If you’ve been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, Hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid), or if you are having difficulty swallowing or breathing due to thyroid nodules or a goiter (non-cancerous enlargement of the thyroid) we have the expertise to help.

Parotid Surgery or a parotidectomy is a complex surgery to remove tumors in the largest of the salivary glands. These glands are located below the ears and are responsible for producing saliva which enters your mouth through a duct behind your teeth. While most tumors of the parotid are non-cancerous, some may be malignant so it’s important to address them as soon as possible

Our surgeons have extensive experience performing these types of surgeries to achieve the best outcomes.  If you are experiencing any kind of prolonged swelling of the neck, difficulty swallowing, changes in your voice (hoarseness) schedule an appointment today!
