Respiratory Infections and Treatment

I often hear “I am always sick with respiratory infections, is something wrong with me? Is there anything I can do to get better?”

Suffering from a Allergies maybe?

If you or your child get sick often, seeing one of our pediatric and adult allergy and immunology experts can help determine if these are typical illnesses within a normal spectrum, or if you might have a problem with your immune system. Our experts will listen to you to try to find out what is causing your illnesses. There are several possible causes of frequent illnesses, such as allergies, chronic sinus disease, and immune problems. Identifying and treating allergies can significantly cut down your illnesses. If we determine that you may have chronic sinusitis, the allergists and ENTs in our office will work together, providing coordinated care to get you better. We also do testing to make sure that you have a strong immune system. Some patients have an immunodeficiency that if properly managed and treated, greatly improves their quality of life. Of course, healthy habits such as sleeping enough, eating healthy, exercising, and stress reduction help boost the immune system, but sometimes that is not enough.

Make an appointment with one of our allergist/immunologists to find out if there is a reason why you are always sick, and find ways for you to become healthier!
