Your physician will use a small catheter to reach the Eustachian tube, and will then inflate a small balloon to open the tube. The catheter and balloon are then removed, and the Eustachian tube remains open and able to function more normally.

Through this procedure, a small catheter containing a balloon will be inserted into the sinus cavity. Once in place, the balloon is inflated, helping to open the sinus passageways.
